Employee Welfare & Support
At Gigi Leather Goods, we believe that a thriving workforce is the foundation of sustainable success. We regularly review and adjust employee wages to ensure they meet the realities of local living costs, helping our team build stable and dignified livelihoods. Daily transportation is provided to ensure safe and reliable commutes. Our internal medical assistance service offers timely support for health concerns, while pregnant employees benefit from prioritized seating, ergonomic workstations, and flexible job arrangements. We proudly create inclusive opportunities by employing persons with disabilities, fostering a workplace built on fairness, care, and respect for every individual.
Community Engagement & Development
At Gigi Leather Goods, we are deeply committed to uplifting the communities around us. In partnership with Hong Kong companies, we funded and built a dormitory for an orphanage in Yangon, now home to over 100 children. We actively support disaster relief efforts during local emergencies, and regularly contribute to charitable causes across the region. Beyond donations, we engage in long-term development by supporting education, healthcare, and livelihood programs for vulnerable groups. Our outreach extends to rural areas, where we assist with basic infrastructure and seasonal aid. These efforts reflect our belief that responsible manufacturing includes compassion, inclusion, and shared growth with the society we operate in.

Measuring Our Impact with HIGG INDEX
Myanmar Gigi actively participates in the HIGG Index measurement, the apparel industry’s most comprehensive and holistic framework for assessing environmental and social sustainability performance. Our latest facility assessment achieved a score of 84 out of 100, demonstrating our strong commitment and performance in managing our environmental and social impacts.
Eco-Conscious Material Sourcing
We are committed to offering our clients leathers from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG), promoting environmentally responsible manufacturing in our supply chain.
Operational Efficiency & Waste Management
- We implement a comprehensive waste segregation management system at our Myanmar facility to minimize our environmental footprint.
- All income generated from selling recyclable waste is allocated directly to our company's dedicated charity fund. This creates a sustainable cycle where our operational efficiency continuously fuels our community support initiatives.
